Sioux Falls Senior Photographer | Maggie Sweets Photography | Esther
I love photographing seniors! Its funny because most of the time, when I get an inquiry on my site for a session, I can almost always tell if it is a high school senior that is inquiring. There is often times a sweet, bubbly and excited quality in their text. When I get on the phone to connect, its not hard to get them to open up and talk about their dreams & aspirations (which are many) as well as how we can incorporate that into their photography session. In addition, their parents are also very excited to see their children grow up and in general, its a very memorable time for everyone!
Being able to have your senior portraits taken is one of the most important things you can do for yourself or for your child. Think about it! How often does your life make a 180 degree change and you take the next step on the journey to the rest of your life. Its at this time that you're childhood is wrapping up and the best way to remember this very special moment in your life is to visually capture it and there is no other way to visually remember your life than though photography! So you want this photography to be something special! Something that completely captures who it is that you are at this moment in life. As a Sioux Falls Senior Photographer, this is my complete goal! I want to make art for my clients that they can look back at years from now and remember. Remember their personality, their dreams, aspirations and so on.
Esther was all of this. I received her inquiry and just smiled when I read her specific request to do a shoot where she could incorporate her love for Journalism. How awesome was that? I made time out of my vacation at the Black Hills to give this young lady a call and see how we can make this thing happen! After talking and rounds of texts, we planned out an awesome session. First, we would meet by my studio in downtown Sioux Falls to get those amazing gorgeous colors and lights in the heart of the city, followed by a beautiful sunset walk at the Japanese Gardens and ending with a studio look where we would incorporate newspaper in her session! It was all in all one of my favorite senior sessions in 2018 and I love the way her images turned out!
